Mission Drive was founded in 2017 by Candice and Simon, a husband and wife team based in the UK. We believe that data has the potential to solve some of the world's biggest problems, but, sometimes the solutions to these problems are complex. Which is why we see the need for innovative companies to better educate their customers, employees and communities. To bring this to life and get results we draw on our background in business development, data, marketing and learning.
Candice has a background in sales and learning. And, a passion for helping people develop new skills. She led the launch of Mission Drive as a Hubspot Partner Agency and leads the development of the data skills programmes we design for clients. Candice has overall responsibility for our leadership products, connections with partners, and project delivery.
Fun fact: The police broke into Candice’s car with a coat hanger on the day of her driving test to retrieve her lost keys. She still passed!
Simon helps our clients develop effective growth strategies and data literacy programmes. With a background in business psychology, Simon has worked in data, business development and training for over 17 years. This includes leading the learning programme at the Tim Berners-Lee founded Open Data Institute, and the launch of Harvard Business School's first European office.
Fun fact: Before Mission Drive, Simon was a sock entrepreneur with his own brand of socks.
Rhiannon is a writer with over 16 years experience. She has a background in both journalism and copywriting, and has written material for big campaigns, blogs, websites, radio scripts and more. In her varied career she’s written for brands like the BBC, Just Eat, Virgin Media, Sony, OVO Energy, and Investec. She’s also written for charities Scope and Shelter.
Fun fact: Rhiannon is a comedy writer and improviser. And her elbow cartwheel is a thing to behold.
Seb is a specialist in digital marketing. His experience of content marketing, email marketing, SEO and social media management allows Mission Drive clients to engage, inform and inspire their customers and employees. Before joining Mission Drive, Seb honed his skill set in both B2B and marketing roles for over 10 years, and is often found with his head buried in a WordPress website or HubSpot.
Fun fact: Seb once got stuck upside down on a broken theme park ride for two hours, and made the 6 o’clock news.
Coeli is a digital marketing executive with a particular interest in content creation, email marketing, and social media management. Before Mission Drive, Coeli led the sales development and marketing projects at a digital agency. She has a flair for building audiences, most notably creating the Brighton Daily newsletter from scratch. She also has an MSc in International Marketing from the University of Sussex.
Fun fact: Coeli loves video games and is a former Grandmaster (and ranked in the top 0.3%) in the online version of the Catan board game.
Johnny is a digital marketing executive who has hands-on experience in improving lead generation capacity. Johnny also has applied skills across conversion rate optimisation, SEO and website analytics. Before Mission Drive, Johnny worked client-side for three years supporting the growth of a B2B comparison website.
Fun Fact: Johnny can solve any Rubik’s Cube - feel free to ask for some tips!
Mike works with companies and governments to help them change in a digital environment. He has worked for the Environment Agency and the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs, delivering organisational change around data use and data sharing. As a data strategy consultant, he has provided advice and coaching to clients including the Co-op, the Ethiopian Government, and Sport England.
Fun Fact: Lucky Mike has spent time diving with whale sharks in Belize.
Ollie is a multi-award-winning writer, specialising in technology and business. Ollie uses his experience writing for Guardian Labs, Raconteur, and the Daily Telegraph to turn our client's stories and products into compelling copy that generates leads and awareness. Ollie has written on a variety of topics – including open data, artificial intelligence, and smart cities.
Fun fact: Ollie was captain of Prince William’s Sunday League football team at university.
Nicki brings abstract data concepts to life with clear visuals and engaging design for Mission Drive's online courses and content. She has over 20 years art direction and design experience, offering a personal approach to creating simple, beautiful design work for a variety of clients including Rolls-Royce, Marks & Spencer, and Coast magazine.
Fun fact: Nicki has been painting since she was tiny. She’s particularly obsessed with drawing people, and goes to weekly life drawing classes.
